Snow White; comes from an old German fable. In the original vision
of Snow White; there is a queen beautiful and fair to her people. She is gifted
with a daughter. She names her daughter snow white, for her skin white as the
fallen snow. Soon after the snow is born the queen dies leaving her daughter in
the hand a successor a wicked queen. This woman has a mirror that praises her
beauty. As Snow grows the mirror clams this queen is not longer the fairest of
the all. Angered by this development the wicked queen orders a huntsman to take
snow out to the woods and kill her, he must bring her back Snow’s liver and
lungs. The wicked queen ate the liver and lungs of a pig that she believed were
Snow’s. Deep in the mountain Snow found herself in the company of seven dwarfs
(Humors fact in the original vision Snow white pulled a Goldie Locks.) These
men took her in, she cook and cleaned for the men. Soon the wicked queen found
out that the huntsman did not kill Snow. She takes the matter into her hands. She
tries to kill snow by suffocation, a poison comb, and than poison apple. Failing
every time, and Snow marries a handsome prince. And the wicked queen was force
to dance at their wedding in till she died.

Snow White, is one of the most common fable is society today
there are stories base on it as well as movies and TV series. I my mind Snow White
is a tale that the pure of heart will always win over the wicked. The queen had
to try four times before she was even close to success. Snow had friends that
loved her enough to save her over and over again. It makes me think of you catch
more files with honey than vinegar.

So is what you're describing the original version? There were some things in there that I'd never heard before...like how the queen tried to kill her four times. I thought it was just once, with a poison apple. Of course, the only version (other than just recently seeing "Mirror Mirror") that I'd heard was the Disney version so they probably changed it up a bit. Anyway, I found your post interesting because I learned more about the story of Snow White. I agree that the pure of heart will win out over the wicked. I think that another conclusion that can be drawn from this story is that you should listen to what your heart is telling you, just like the huntsman. He knew it wasn't right to kill Snow White, so he did what he thought he should do, even though his decision would have dire consequences.
ReplyDeleteI know the Grimm's vision is so more twisted than the Disney vision.
