Grimm's Twelve Dancing Princess

Two blogs a week this should be interesting… The first shall be on class and this the second shall be on fairy tales or riddles or whatever I feel.

This Blog will be on the brothers Grimm tale of the twelve dance princess.
I a kingdom there is twelve princesses born to a king and an infertile mother.
During the tale a soldier wounded in war joke with a bagger woman, who tells him how to find where the princess dance at night.  The soldier follows the princess using the invisible cloak the woman gave him. The princess traveled down into the Earth and to magical place. The soldier took tokens of this and bought them to the King and then him receive the eldest daughter as his bride.
The Princesses going
down into
the underground kingdom.

The twelve dancing princesses is a favorite tale of mine. I read many books, poems, and riddles on the subject. Some factors stay true it seems. The princes trap the princesses in to marriage. The Soldier is the one who help the princesses escape the under land and marries the eldest daughter.
This is one of the
few books I've read
on the Twelve dancing princess.

Looking at this storey from a girl (that grew up on Disney movies) point of view; It seems like the eldest princess is trap by the pressures of life. She must take care of her sisters after her mother’s death. Trap by the rules of sociality and the promise of her mothers. Have men throw themselves at her not herself but for the chance to be King. Then a soldier who was little chance of helping or marring any of the princesses shows up, he like the underdog no one thinks about. He tricks the princess and saves them from an eternally dancing with men who wish nothing but to trap the girls down in the underground prison.
