Vampires

Vampyre a word you cannot seem to go out without hearing. The main stream was taken this idea and brought it into the light….hehehe. That gets down to the facts about these fangs.

The Vampyre myth is seen throughout the world nowhere is safe from undead. The word vampire comes from German word vampir which in old polish means vaper. Vampires comes from the legend of Lilu the mother of vampyres she killed newborns and pregnant women. The are many different kinds of vams; there’s Slavic, Romanian, and Indian. Each varies on the facts of vampires.

 

The start of this could be because of a disease that causes the victims to become pale and sensitive to the light, this people in need of iron would drink the drink of animals. Much of the common or media vampires come from Bram’s Dracula. He based this off of Vlad the Impaler. His favorite vision of torture was to make people hang above pikes; they would have to hold themselves. This weird form of torture caused him to be unliked, and he suffered the same death as his victims. 

 

In today society we have more of a cuddly vision of the dark creature. Shows like Vampire Dairies, True Blood, Being human and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Paint the picture of Vampires that just really want to be like us.  Movies like the Twilight Saga and books like Blue Bloods and Vampire Academy so vampire living normal lives. It foolish but I will admit I love it.
